Growing up as the child of two immigrant parents, I witnessed firsthand exactly how difficult it was for them to navigate even the simplest parts of American life. For as long as I can remember, I had always been their main go-to point of contact when navigating Western systems, such as applying for a driver’s license, filing taxes, or even breaking down complex legal documents.

Things that felt intuitive to me often felt like unconquerable barriers to them. Watching their struggles made me realize how much design impacts accessibility, and it sparked a deep-rooted passion in me to create solutions that make technology and information easier for everyone to use and benefit from.
